This policy explains what information Inside Dhaka (insidedhaka.com) collects when you visit the site and how it is used.
Information we collect
Usage data
We use Google Analytics, through Google’s Site Kit plugin, to understand how the site is used. It records things such as the pages you visit, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. We do not use it to identify you personally. Visits by logged-in site administrators are not counted.
We also use Google Search Console to see how the site performs in Google Search. It reports search queries and pages, not information about individual visitors.
Messages you send us
Our contact form asks for your name, email address, a subject and an optional message. We use these details to reply to you and for nothing else. The form plugin (Contact Form 7) sends your message to us by email.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records technical information about requests to the site, such as IP addresses and browser type, for security and to keep the service running.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell visits apart. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. You can also use Google’s browser add-on to opt out of Google Analytics.
Third-party services
- Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager: usage statistics, as described above.
- Google Fonts: some text on the site loads a font from Google’s servers, which means Google receives your IP address when the font is requested.

The site does not offer public comments or user accounts.
Children
This site is a general travel and city guide and is not aimed at children.
