Inside Dhaka is a self-funded city guide and travel information portal for Dhaka. We write for three groups of people: tourists planning a visit, Bangladeshis living abroad who want to keep up with the city, and people who live in Dhaka and want reliable, up-to-date information.
Dhaka is a vibrant, complicated and rewarding city, and we want to represent it honestly and positively. Our guides cover getting around (metro, trains, buses and flights), things to do, events, theaters and movies, and practical needs such as visas and hospitals.
Our standards
We show when each guide was last checked and we name our sources. When something changes, we update the page. When a reader reports a mistake, we correct it. If you spot an error or have information to share, please contact us.
