Akhaura is a junction town on the Dhaka to Chattogram and Sylhet lines. The Titas Commuter runs a short-haul service on the Dhaka to Akhaura corridor, stopping at Brahmanbaria. Intercity trains to Chattogram, Sylhet and other eastern cities also use this railway line.
