Kamalapur Railway Station is Dhaka’s main railway station. Nearly all intercity trains in Bangladesh Railway’s timetable start or end their journey in Dhaka, and Kamalapur is the station used for them.

History
Kamalapur opened in 1968 and replaced Fulbaria as Dhaka’s main station.
